As we stayed at Alila Diwa, one thing that really made us choose this hotel was the earthy feel to it.
Love the use of mirrors to create light and space. The Terrace Balcony had a great view and a lot of light streaming in. A lovely sit out just made it that much more appreciable.
The entire property is dotted with plants and greenery. The Alila Diwa Goa property overlooks paddy fields adding to its rustic yet modern look
The Bar by the Infinity pool had some great furnishing and old sty;e furniture(the plastic wired ones, which we all remember from the 80's..
Ganesha under the madhu malathi flowers looked beautiful in day light as well as at night.
The Hotel has maintained the huge Banyan trees in the courtyards and has kept them well nurtured. This particular one had some creepers over the Banyan, and was so beautiful to see the marriage of the big with the small.
The Spice restauarant has some beautiful decor too. Morrocan lamps hang from trees, wicker furniture, outdoor eating possibilities among the trees..sheer bliss
The Old style easy chairs in the waking verandahs and passages make them into cosy nooks for a quick chat..
Just loved the passages and the play of light and shade on them. Was lovely even as it was lit up at night..
One of the things that impressed me was that the hotel was into recycling water to water the plants and that they did my favourite thing for nature - waste segregation. All materials being locally procured and maintaining the trees that already existed in the property made this a delight to see and experience.
